Jingdezhen Ceramic University ranked 302nd in national undergraduate colleges and 8th in provincial universities in 2022.

Jingdezhen Ceramic University is the only multidisciplinary university named after ceramics in China. It is one of the first batch of 365,438+0 independent undergraduate course art colleges in China, and it is also one of 94 colleges and universities that are eligible to enroll China government scholarships to study in China. Now it has developed into an important base for ceramic talents training, ceramic science and technology innovation and ceramic culture and art exchange in China and even the world.

The school pays equal attention to arts and crafts, blends art with industry and commerce, highlights the advantages of "design art and ceramic engineering", and builds and forms three characteristic subject groups of "art design and ceramic culture, ceramic material engineering and intelligent manufacturing, and ceramic economy and management".

The school's predecessor was China Ceramic School founded by Zhang Jian and others in 19 10. 19 12 was renamed as Jiangxi lirao ceramic school. 1934 moved to Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, and was named Jiujiang Ceramic Vocational School in Jiangxi Province. From 1944 to 1950, it became the first ceramic institution of higher learning in China. Jingdezhen Ceramic Experimental Research Institute was established in 1952.
