Nanyang Technological University (NTU), founded in the early 1980s, is also an internationally renowned institution of higher learning. Many NTU alumni are well-known celebrities at home and abroad, such as Singaporean singer Stephanie, former host of CCTV Shen Bing and founder of Jumeiyoupin Chen Ou, all of whom graduated from Nanyang Technological University.

As a polytechnic university, NTU mainly trains engineering and scientific talents for Singapore. It can be said that it is one of the best engineering universities in the world and has made great achievements in many fields such as nano-materials, biomaterials, functional ceramics and polymer materials.
