Hangzhou Business College of Zhejiang Gongshang University (hereinafter referred to as College) was established with the approval of Zhejiang Provincial People's Government 1999, reconfirmed by the Ministry of Education in 2004, and passed the provincial acceptance of Zhejiang Independent College in 20 17. Since the college moved to Tonglu in 20 14, it has inherited and carried forward the excellent school spirit of "honesty and diligence" of Zhejiang Gongshang University, and strived to build a high-level application-oriented university with distinctive characteristics and cultivate high-quality applied "new business" talents with solid theoretical foundation, strong practical ability and innovative spirit.
The college adheres to the orientation of "application, innovation, regionalization and internationalization" and adopts the development strategy of "openness, integration and Excellence". Supported by similar majors, closely combined with the conditions of running the college and the demand for talents for regional economic development, fully relying on the mother's good discipline foundation, teachers' conditions and teaching resources, and taking economic management as the main body, we will build majors such as economics, management, literature, law, engineering and art. The college consists of management college, economics and law college, foreign languages college, humanities college and polytechnic college. There are also mathematics teaching and research departments, social science teaching and research departments and sports art teaching and research departments. Among the 24 undergraduate majors, there are 5 in economics, 4 in management, 4 in literature, 1 in law, 1 in engineering and1in art. Gradually form four professional groups of business administration, accounting finance, e-commerce and digital media, and on this basis, focus on building a new business intelligence operation center, and build five experimental sub-centers of cloud finance, interdisciplinary integration, cross-border e-commerce, innovation and entrepreneurship, and big data. The new business intelligence operation center was approved as the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" provincial key construction experimental teaching demonstration center construction project. In recent years, taking the opportunity of cultivating professional masters, the college has accelerated the professional construction. Business administration, international economy and trade, journalism and other three majors were selected as emerging majors in Zhejiang universities in the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, while product design and finance were selected as major construction projects in Zhejiang universities in the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan, and the newly established Internet finance major was approved as an undergraduate major in ordinary universities by the Ministry of Education.
The college began to recruit undergraduates from 1999, with more than 8,000 full-time undergraduates. In 20 18, Tonglu Campus of the College enrolled more than 2,500 new students. In recent years, the scores of arts and sciences have remained in the top three of independent colleges in the province, and they have been selected as "China High-level Independent College" in Wu Shulian for five consecutive years. The college offers special courses such as accounting (ACCA direction), international economy and trade (China-US-Australia credit recognition class), excellent IELTS English class and business incubation class. And became the first independent college in our province to offer CFA (International Chartered Financial Analyst) class.
Adhering to academic guidance and focusing on the coordinated development of teaching and scientific research, the College has built a number of teaching and scientific research platforms with regional influence, such as Rural Revitalization Strategy Research Institute, Fuchun E-commerce Research Institute, Pen-making Innovation Center, Innovation Center of Internet Canada Maker Town, Hangzhou Commercial Tonglu College, and China Private Express Future Development Advanced Seminar, and has become the first batch of network innovation member units of Zhejiang Key Laboratory of Design Intelligence and Digital Creativity. At present, the college has carried out a number of overseas study programs with foreign cooperative colleges, which are divided into exchange programs and degree programs of cooperative colleges, such as undergraduate "2+2", "3+ 1" and master's programs. The college has carried out student exchanges and cooperation with more than ten universities such as Columbia University in the United States and Manchester University in the United Kingdom.
