Wesleyan University is one of the top liberal arts colleges in the United States, ranking fourth in the history of American liberal arts colleges. As a founding member of the Little Ivy League, Wesleyan University, together with Amherst College and Williams College, is called "Little Three", echoing the "Big Three" Harvard University, Yale University and Princeton University, representing the highest academic level of undergraduate education in the United States.

Wesleyan University, also translated as Wesleyan University, is located in Middletown, Connecticut, in the northeastern United States. The school was founded by the Methodist Church in Middletown 183 1, and its name comes from john wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church (the school has no connection with the Methodist Church at present).
