University of Tsukuba is located in the city of Katz. Except for the University of Tsukuba, most of Tsukuba are agricultural and forestry villages, so Tsukuba is also called Xueyuan City. There are dozens of advanced research institutions in Tsukuba, and the Institute of High Energy Physics in Tsukuba is one of the important research centers of high energy physics in the world. There are more than 7,000 doctors among the 200,000 permanent residents.

As one of the top ten universities in Japan all the year round, Tsukuba University is also one of the best schools outside the old Imperial University.
