Nankai University, referred to as Nankai for short, began in 1904 and was formally established in 19 19. It is a comprehensive university founded by Yan Xiu and Zhang Boling, adhering to the concept of saving the country through education. 1937, the campus was bombed by the Japanese invaders and the school moved south. 1938, The National SouthWest Associated University was founded in Kunming, Yunnan, together with Peking University and Tsinghua University, making an indelible contribution to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the prosperity of the country. 1946 returned to Tianjin to resume studies and change to Chinese studies. After the founding of New China, it has undergone institutional adjustment and become a national key university with equal emphasis on arts and sciences.
