Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, referred to as "Fujian Agricultural University", is located in Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province. It is one of the earliest agricultural and forestry colleges in China and one of the three key high-level universities in Fujian Province.
At the same time, it is also a university jointly established by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Fujian Provincial Government, the State Forestry Administration and the Fujian Provincial Government. It is the first batch of master's degree awarding units and the second batch of doctoral degree awarding units in China, an excellent university evaluated by the Ministry of Education, and the first batch of pilot universities for the reform of the education and training plan for outstanding agricultural and forestry talents.
The school's predecessor was the Agricultural College of Fujian Christian University founded in 1936 and Fujian Provincial Agricultural College founded in 1940. In 2000, the former Fujian Agricultural University and the former Fujian Forestry College merged to form the new Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University.
By the end of 2065438+May 2008, there were 23 full-time undergraduate and postgraduate colleges in China, with 27,800 students, including more than 5,200 doctoral and master students.
The campus covers an area of more than 4,800 mu, and there are 165, 438+078 mu of science and education bases and 45,900 mu of teaching forest farm. The campus environment is beautiful, birds and flowers are fragrant, and it has won the titles of national civilized unit, national greening model unit and national ecological civilization education base.
