This major is a new interdisciplinary major combining computer technology, communication technology, sensor technology and engineering technology. It aims to cultivate high-quality compound professionals who can systematically master the related theories and application design methods of Internet of Things engineering, have the comprehensive application ability and research and development ability of Internet of Things technologies such as system design, signal acquisition and processing, system integration, wireless network, information communication and data fusion, and master sensing technology, embedded system design, sensor network design and advanced information processing technology.

Length of schooling: four years, bachelor degree in engineering.

Main courses: introduction to Internet of Things, microcomputer principle and interface technology, embedded system principle and application, computer network, wireless sensor network, ZigBee network principle and application, data structure, database principle and application, object-oriented programming, Internet of Things information security, circuit and electronics, digital logic, sensor principle and application, radio frequency identification (RFID) principle and application, signal and system, control engineering, etc.
