Is it a math contest for college students to win prizes for scientific research projects?
Not exactly. The Chinese Undergraduate Mathematics Competition is a national undergraduate high-level discipline competition sponsored by the Chinese Mathematical Society, and it is also a good relay of the national senior high school mathematics competition in colleges and universities. Other scientific research projects are not counted as college students' mathematics competitions. The purpose of Chinese college students' mathematics competition is to stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics, further promote the reform and construction of college mathematics courses, improve the teaching level of college mathematics courses, and discover and select innovative talents in mathematics. The participants in the Chinese University Mathematics Competition are sophomores and above.
