In 2022, two Chongqing universities were selected in the second round of the list of double-class construction universities, but there was no Chongqing Medical University, so Chongqing Medical University was not a double-class university.

Shuangliu Construction University was selected in two rounds, the first batch of 140 universities and the second round of 147 universities, among which Shanxi University, Nanjing Medical University, Xiangtan University, South China Agricultural University, Guangzhou Medical University, south university of science and technology of china and Shanghai University of Science and Technology were newly selected in the second round.

School profile

The school was founded in 1956, and moved to Chongqing from Shanghai First Medical College (now Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University). Its predecessor was Chongqing Medical College, and 1985 was renamed Chongqing Medical University. The school is the first batch of units approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and the first batch of demonstration bases for studying in China approved by the Ministry of Education. 20 15 became a university established by the Ministry of Education and the people's governments of National Health Commission and Chongqing.
