1984, the institute of east Asian history and culture established the ancient books research room in Jilin normal university, and 1985 was transformed into the ancient books research institute. It is the resident institution of the national leading group for collating and researching ancient books in colleges and universities in Jilin Province. In 2004, it was transformed into the East Asian History and Culture Research Center of Beihua University, and the Institute of Ancient Books was preserved. In 2007, it was transformed into the Institute of East Asian History and Culture of Beihua University.

China history teaching and research section

In June 2007, it was formed by the merger of the former China Ancient History and China Modern History Teaching and Research Section. The teaching and research section has 16 teachers, 3 professors, 2 associate professors 1 1 people and 2 lecturers. Five of them have doctorates and three are studying for doctorates.

1994 China ancient history course group was rated as provincial excellent course group.

In 2007, China Ancient History Course was rated as a provincial-level excellent course.

In 2009, China Modern History Course Group was rated as an excellent course.

The members of the teaching and research section actively carry out scientific research while completing the teaching work. In the past five years, * * * has completed the National Social Science Fund Project 1 item, 7 social science fund projects in Jilin Province, published 6 monographs and dozens of papers.

World history teaching and research section

World history is a professional basic course of history department, and the teaching and research section of world history has an echelon of teachers with high teaching level, reasonable age, education and professional title structure, professionalism and innovative spirit. Of all the 7 teachers in the World History Teaching and Research Section, there are 2 doctors, 2 doctors, 2 masters, 2 professors and 3 associate professors. Professor Zheng Yi, head of the world history course group and tutor of graduate students, was once jointly rated as the first batch of trans-century academic and technical leaders in Jilin Province by the Personnel Department and the Education Commission of Jilin Province.

1999 world history course group was rated as a top-quality course of Beihua university, and it became a top-quality course of Jilin province through evaluation in 2004.

In 2005, the special history discipline was awarded as the key funded discipline of Beihua University; The modern history of the world was rated as the key construction discipline of Beihua University; The right to confer a master's degree in world history.

Since 2009, the members of the World History Teaching and Research Section have not only completed their teaching work, but also actively carried out their teaching and research work, and achieved fruitful results in the field of scientific research.
