Xinjiang Medical University is located at the foot of the scenic Carp Mountain in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is a medical school with a glorious tradition. Its predecessor, Xinjiang Medical College, was founded in 1954 and enrolled in 1956.
