Summary of participating in charity volunteer activities in welfare homes
Teacher Guo Lingling, Secretary of the First Party Branch of the International Cultural Exchange Department, led a team to participate in this activity. Before the activity, the party branch made careful preparations and was supported and welcomed by the relevant person in charge of the children's welfare home. In the charity fund-raising activities, the students were enthusiastic, donated money and materials, and bought many fruits, children's food, daily necessities, toys and stationery for the children. Party member and activists who joined the Party have played an important role, showing the love consciousness and dedication of contemporary youth. When we came to the children's welfare home, we were warmly received. Director Hou, the person in charge, led us into the park where children live every day. Before we walked into the activity hall, the children were cheering and running head-on, and their childish faces caught our eyes, which made people feel pity. Walking into the activity hall, we distributed the food we brought to the children, and the children happily took the love food we brought and expressed their joy and gratitude in a unique way. Looking at the lovely and sincere smiling faces of the children, everyone felt extremely happy and gratified. Then we sing songs, play games and interact with children. Although they are all disabled children, some are physically disabled and some suffer from serious diseases, they are all lively and lovely and full of childlike innocence. The children also read songs aloud for us, which attracted bursts of applause from time to time. When the children sang the song "Only Mom is Good in the World", many students couldn't help crying and sobbing softly, feeling sorry for the children's misfortune. We also recorded this touching moment with the camera. In the meantime, the staff also told us about the diseases and unfortunate experiences of several children, and everyone felt an unspeakable heartache. At the same time, we also deeply feel that children in welfare homes need not only the temporary care of several people, units and groups, but also the care and love of the whole society. Not only material help, but also spiritual care. At the end of the activity, we took photos with the children and their staff and said goodbye.
Through this activity, party member and the activists who joined the Party gave their love, gained sincerity and learned to be grateful. Only by giving love can we reap love better. The world needs love, society needs love, and people need love more. "As long as everyone gives a love, the world will become a beautiful world." On the special day of Thanksgiving, we walked into Baoding Children's Welfare Institute. On this day, we want to thank all the caring people and send a blessing. At the same time, continue to pay attention to social welfare undertakings, let more people participate in our dedication and love activities, and let love pass on forever.
The second chapter summarizes the activities of caring volunteers in welfare homes.
Respect and love for the elderly, as the essence of the splendid culture of the Chinese nation for thousands of years, has a long history. Throughout the ages, many stories about respecting and loving the elderly have been passed down as eternal beauty talks.
As college students in the new century, they should have the responsibility and obligation to carry forward this virtue. In order to improve and cultivate college students' social practice ability and social morality consciousness, understand the life of the elderly and bring them joy, and offer a care for their lonely spiritual world in their later years, the Spark YMCA entered the Sunset Retirement Center with "the heart of service and care" and made a trip to love and respect the elderly this semester.
This activity was led by the general manager of the finance department of Spark YMCA and a service team composed of several volunteers. After meeting at the entrance of the old canteen at 8: 00 am 15, we came to the nursing home with fruits and other condolences, let our team flag fly in the air under the scorching sun, and started the naming of our Youth Federation. After walking for about 20 minutes, we arrived at our destination.
The old people are all in the dormitory, and the ministers distributed the fruits they brought to the team members. Then we went separately to express our condolences to the old people and perform programs for them. After receiving the fruit, the old people were very happy and thanked them again and again. Each of our team members joined the old people and had a cordial conversation with them. The old people are very enthusiastic and their children are not around. Old people often feel lonely and helpless. Our arrival reduced their loneliness, and seeing an uncle dragging us to chat reluctantly made me burst into tears. We also help the nursing home pull weeds, which is really interesting.
After the successful conclusion of the activity, I felt a lot when I reviewed the whole activity process. Respecting the elderly has always been the traditional virtue of our Chinese nation. However, in today's increasingly rich material age, middle-aged people are more and more busy with their work and have no time to take care of their parents around them.
Therefore, there are many elderly people in today's society, and their hearts are lonely. As college students and young volunteers in the new era, we have a great obligation to shoulder this social responsibility and continue to carry forward this traditional virtue that has lasted for thousands of years. Through our own efforts, we will bring care, joy and warmth to the elderly, set an example, create a good fashion of respecting and loving the elderly in the whole society, and cultivate and enhance citizens' awareness of social morality. In this regard, we feel extremely glorious and proud.
We hope to pass on the baton of love through our own practical actions, bring material support and spiritual care to the elderly, and arouse more attention from all walks of life to the elderly.
The third chapter summarizes the activities of caring volunteers in welfare homes.
The love team went into Zhengzhou Social Welfare Institute to express their condolences to the patients and children there. This activity is different from the past. In addition to visiting children and patients according to tradition, it is also planned to hold an oath ceremony for a group of new Red Cross volunteers here. The new members sworn in are: Zhang Xin, Li Ruochen, Wang Pengfei, Chen Xin, Zuo Jiao, Zuo Bin, Kong Shuguang, Zang and Kong. Yang Li, Li Boze, Lei Gaowei, Du,,, Zhu, Zhang Pinghe,,, Sun,, Liu Lu, and Gao Zhi attended the event.
At 9: 30, the caring team led by Yang Li came to Zhengzhou Social Welfare Institute. This time, the team brought fruits, potato chips, clothes and some daily necessities to the children. This time, our volunteer Wang Pengfei brought a lot of paper for learning Braille to the welfare home. As soon as our volunteers entered the welfare home, the children and patients living upstairs waved to our volunteers, and the volunteers responded happily. First, we came to the second floor to visit the children who live here. We distributed fruits, potato chips and other foods to the children. Because our caring team goes to the social welfare home every week, the children are already familiar with us. The children all gathered around, we played together, and the volunteers all picked up the children here and took care of them. Several children were doing their homework when they came, and many topics were not very good, so we volunteers patiently explained them. Then, volunteers and children play games together. The children are very happy. Volunteers are also very happy when they see smiling children.
After more than an hour, the volunteers came to the fourth floor to visit the patients and middle-aged and elderly people living here. Volunteers distributed fruits, clothes and some daily necessities to everyone. When Mr. Yang Li came to see them again, everyone felt unspeakable joy. Everyone rushed to hold teacher Yang Li's hand and tell about their life for a week. Teacher Yang Li asked about their recent life, whether they have any needs and whether they need the help of our volunteers. Everyone was moved by this concern. A patient in a welfare home in his fifties enthusiastically sang for the volunteers. A song "Only a mother is good in the world" raised the atmosphere of the audience to the extreme. Then he sang us classic songs such as Dongfanghong. Volunteers expressed their gratitude to the patients with sincere applause.
Finally, volunteers and all members of the welfare home gathered on the first floor. Next, our loving team will hold the swearing-in ceremony for new volunteers of Henan Red Cross Society here. This time, eight new members agreed to join the Red Cross Society of Henan Province and become registered volunteers. The managers, orphans and patients of the welfare home participated in and witnessed the whole process. Under the leadership of the old volunteer Gao Zhi, the new volunteer took the oath under the sign of the Red Cross. The audience was silent, and the swearing-in process was solemn and sacred. After the ceremony, people around you congratulated the eight new members. The children in the welfare home collectively played a song "Grateful Heart" for the new volunteers with immature children's voices, slow sign language movements and expressions of true feelings. Everyone in this place was moved by the children. I believe that all volunteers should have more responsibilities in their hearts at this moment. After that, Teacher Yang Li put forward higher requirements for all volunteers. I hope everyone will persevere and make unremitting efforts to truly dedicate their love to the society and do more for the socially disadvantaged groups.
How time flies! It's almost noon in a blink of an eye. Volunteers are reluctant to leave the welfare home. I'm sure they've got something in mind. On the whole, this activity was quite successful. It not only brought warmth to children and patients in welfare homes, but also trained a group of new volunteers.
