Where is East China Normal University?
East China Normal University, referred to as East China Normal University, is located in Shanghai. There are Minhang Campus and Zhongshan North Road Campus, which are located in Minhang District and Putuo District of Shanghai respectively. The campus has a beautiful environment and is known as "Garden University". Directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), it is a national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the State Oceanic Administration, and ranks among the world-class universities in the "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project".

East China Normal University was established in June 195 1 65438+ 10/6. Based on Daxia University (1924) and Guanghua University (1925), it was transferred to some departments of St. John's University, Fudan University, Tongji University and Zhejiang University. 1959 school was identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China as one of the national 16 key institutions. 1972 The school merged with Shanghai Normal University and Shanghai Institute of Physical Education and was renamed Shanghai Normal University. 1978 school was once again recognized as a national key university. 1980 the name of east China normal university was restored. 1997- 1998, Shanghai Preschool Teachers College, Shanghai Education College and Shanghai Second Education College merged successively.
