In 2022, a total of 270 comprehensive universities were selected into the third-party comprehensive index of universities, of which 54 universities entered the top 20% of comprehensive universities, distributed in 27 provinces across the country.

Among them, the top 20% comprehensive universities in Jiangsu Province have the largest number, accounting for11.1%(6/54); There are four in Guangdong, Shandong and Shanghai, each accounting for 7.41%(4/54); There are three in Beijing, Fujian, Henan and Hunan, each accounting for 5.56%(3/54).
