Linyi University is located in Linyi City, Shandong Province. It is a provincial comprehensive university in Shandong Province, a key construction university of the National Development and Reform Commission's integration of production and education project, a key construction university of Shandong Province's famous universities with applied talents training characteristics, an implementation university of excellent teacher training plan, a member unit of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance, and a hundred-school engineering project institution in China.
The school was founded in 194 1, which is in the same strain as Binhai Jianguo College founded by Binhai District Committee of China Kangda No.1 Middle School. After many times of migration and merger, it was renamed Linyi University with the approval of the Ministry of Education on 20 10 after the development stages of Binhai Public College, Linyi First Normal College, Linyi Education College and Linyi Normal College.
