Qingdao University is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province. It is the first batch of pilot universities for the comprehensive reform of undergraduate majors in local universities in the "Undergraduate Teaching Project" of the Ministry of Education, and the universities built in Shandong Province and Qingdao and the high-level universities in Shandong Province "compete first".
The first batch of pilot universities of the Ministry of Education for the reform of postgraduate training mode of medical master's degree, the pilot universities of the Ministry of Education for outstanding engineers and excellent doctors, the demonstration universities of the Ministry of Education for innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, the demonstration universities of the Ministry of Education for the reform of college teachers' examination and evaluation, and the demonstration base of the Ministry of Education for studying in China.
As of March 2022, the school has three campuses, namely Fushan, Jinjialing and Songshan, covering an area of 2,655 mu, with a building area of1140,000 square meters, fixed assets of 3.8 billion yuan and a collection of 3.28 million books. There are 34 colleges and medical departments and 79 undergraduate majors. At present, there are 10 postdoctoral research stations, 4 first-class doctoral programs 14, 3 doctoral degree authorization points, 4 first-class master programs1and 28 master degree authorization points.
Development:
The earliest source of the school is Qingdao College, which was founded in 1909 and later became Qingdao Medical College. Another source is the private Qingdao University, which was founded in 1924 and later experienced by the National Qingdao University. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, National Shandong University merged with Qingdao Medical College to form a medical college, which later became Qingdao Medical College. 65438-0993, the former Qingdao University merged with Qingdao Medical College, Shandong Textile Vocational and Technical College and Qingdao Normal College to form the new Qingdao University.
