Harbin Normal University, referred to as Harbin Normal University for short, is located in the historical and cultural city of Harbin. Harbin Normal University was founded in 195 1. Its predecessor was Li Xingzhi Normal School in Songjiang Province, 1946. After Harbin Normal College and Harbin Normal College, 1980 was renamed Harbin Normal University. In 2000, Hulan Teachers College merged with Heilongjiang Agricultural Reclamation Teachers College, and in 2002, Heilongjiang Materials School merged to form a new Harbin Normal University.
