Which is more developed, Shenyang or Wuhan?
I am a southerner and have lived in Shenyang for nearly ten years. I didn't stay in Wuhan for a long time, but I have been there. Personally, I feel that Shenyang and Wuhan are both important central cities in China, both sub-provincial cities, with similar economic aggregate, city size and political influence. In terms of climate, although I grew up in the south, I prefer Shenyang, which is cool in summer and doesn't feel cold with heating in winter. Wuhan is too hot in summer and not warm in winter. From the perspective of higher education, Wuhan is better than Shenyang. Some famous schools in Wuhan include Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Tongji Medical University (merged into Huazhong University of Science and Technology), Wuhan University of Technology, Huazhong Normal University and China Geo University. The higher education in Shenyang is even worse, and Northeastern University is the best, but it can only be regarded as the last school in "985" (hehe, I didn't mean to slander my alma mater, I graduated from Dongda University). China Medical University has a resounding name, but its strength is not as good as Tongji Medical University before the merger. As for Liaoning University, it has a certain influence in the three northeastern provinces. China Criminal Police College and Pharmaceutical University in Shenyang have some characteristics, but their influence is limited. Shenyang University of Technology can't compare with Wuhan University of Technology. So in terms of higher education, Wuhan is far superior to Shenyang. If you are admitted to universities and science and engineering in Shenyang, it is recommended to be admitted to Northeastern University. Automatic control, computer, metallurgy and other majors are still very good. If it is a liberal arts, there is really nothing to choose from. Let's go to Liaoning University. The economy is ok, but if you go to the south for employment in the future, I'm afraid there will be no advantage.

Let me give you a word. If you are from the south, it is a good choice to visit the northeast. Shenyang people are very enthusiastic. If you want to study in Northeast China, you have a wide choice of science and engineering. Harbin Institute of Technology, Jida, Dagong, Dongda and Dalian Maritime are all good, and liberal arts Jida, Northeast Normal University and Cai Dong can all be considered. Of course, Shenyang has no other schools except Dongda University. As for which city is better, Shenyang or Wuhan, it depends on what you like. You won't know which city you prefer until you stay for a while.
