East China Normal University, referred to as East China Normal University for short, is located in Shanghai and directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a comprehensive research-oriented national key university approved by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It is listed as a world-class university.
East China Normal University was established in June 195 1 65438+ 10/6. Based on Daxia University (1924) and Guanghua University (1925), it was transferred to some departments of St. John's University, Fudan University, Tongji University and Zhejiang University. 1972 merged with Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Institute of Physical Education and other institutions and changed its name to Shanghai Normal University. 1980 Restore the name of East China Normal University.
South China Normal University:
South China Normal University was founded in 1933, and its predecessor was Teachers College of Li Qin University. 1935 was renamed Qinqin University College of Education; 1938, renamed Guangdong Institute of Education; 1939 was renamed Guangdong University of Arts and Sciences; 1950 was renamed Guangdong University of Arts and Sciences. 195 1 year1October, with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the Central South Military and Political Commission, the Normal College of National Sun Yat-sen University and the Department of Education of Private South China United University merged to form South China Normal College.
1952 The Russian Department of Southern University, the Education Department of Lingnan University, the National Hainan Normal University, the Education Department of Guangxi University, the Geography Department of the History and Geography Department of Hunan University, the Geography Department of Nanchang University and Hainan Normal University merged. 1970 was renamed Guangdong Normal University, and 1977 was renamed South China Normal University. 1982 was renamed as South China Normal University.
