Zhejiang College of Tongji University was officially approved by the Ministry of Education in May 2008. Jointly organized by Tongji University, Hongda Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Jiaxing Education Development Investment Co., Ltd., it is an independent college with independent legal personality and full-time undergraduate education running in a new mechanism and mode.

The school implements the strategy of "strengthening the school with talents", attaches great importance to the construction of teachers, and strives to build a team of teachers with both ability and political integrity, professional titles and academic qualifications, as well as teaching experience and practical ability, so as to continuously improve the teaching quality. At present, relying on the abundant teaching staff of Tongji University, the school has a full-time teaching team composed of more than 520 outstanding teachers, of which 20% have full-time senior titles, 50% have associate senior titles and above, and more than 60% have master's degrees and above.

The school has 33 majors, including civil engineering, traffic engineering, transportation, building environment and energy application engineering, environmental engineering, water supply and drainage science and engineering, architecture, materials science and engineering, mechanical and electronic engineering, etc. At present, the school has more than 9,500 full-time undergraduates.
