Ni Wendong, 1957, from Huangling, Shaanxi. 1982 Graduated from Chinese Department of Northwest University. Engaged in calligraphy teaching, creation and research for more than 30 years. As an introduction to calligraphy, China calligraphy history, calligraphy creation, seal cutting theory and practice, introduction and practice of cursive script, calligraphy and decoration design, computer art and other courses. Editor-in-chief has published more than 30 books, teaching materials and large reference books, such as Dictionary of Painters' Imprint in China in the 20th Century, Dictionary of China Seal Cutting, Introduction to Calligraphy Creation, Introduction to Calligraphy, and Seal Cutting Copying and Appreciation Ceremony. He has published more than 30 papers and won the second prize of the 6th National calligraphy theory Seminar.
Judge of the first "China Calligraphy Lanting Award" education award, judge of Changjiang Scholar and Humanities and Social Sciences Award of the Ministry of Education, judge of the National Art Science Planning Project, judge of the Excellent Student Award of the Training Center of China Calligraphy Association, judge of the Calligraphy Newspaper National Children's Painting and Calligraphy Competition. Calligraphy teaching achievements won the second prize of provincial and ministerial excellent teaching achievements three times; 20 14 was named a famous teacher of Beijing normal university. He has held personal calligraphy and seal cutting exhibitions in Beijing, Xi, Taiyuan, Huangling, Xinjiang and Taiwan Province. Calligraphy works are collected by China National Museum, China Art Museum, Yanhuang Art Museum, Shaanxi Art Museum and xi Beilin Museum.
He used to be the director of art theory teaching in the Ministry of Education, a member of academic committee and education committee of China Book Association, a member of Shaanxi Youth Federation, a vice chairman of Shaanxi Youth Book Association, and a professor of art department of Northwest University. Currently, he is a director of China Calligraphers Association, a professor and doctoral supervisor of Calligraphy Department of School of Art and Media, Beijing Normal University, the president of Great Wall Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute and the president of Shi Jing Printing Society.
