Chengdu University of Arts and Sciences is a full-time provincial undergraduate college. The school was founded on 1999. Its predecessor was Sichuan Normal University School of Cultural Communication and International Business School (non-secondary college). In 2004, it was merged into Sichuan Normal University College of Arts and Sciences (Independent College), and was transformed into Chengdu College of Arts and Sciences (independent undergraduate course College) with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 20 14.

Chengdu, referred to as Rongcheng and Jincheng for short, is a prefecture-level city, a provincial capital, a sub-provincial city, a mega-city and a core city of the twin-city economic circle in Chengdu-Chongqing area under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province. It is an important national high-tech industrial base, commercial logistics center and comprehensive transportation hub, and an important central city in the western region approved by the State Council.
