The articles of association stipulate: "Young people in China who have reached the age of 14 but under the age of 28, who recognize the articles of association of the Youth League, are willing to participate in the organization of the Youth League and work actively in it, carry out the resolutions of the Youth League and pay the tour fee on time, can apply to join the Productive Youth League in China."

The process of league members' development includes: eligible young people applying to join the league, identifying activists, training and inspection, identifying development targets, voting, approval, oath and education for new league members.

Requirements related to joining the league ceremony

1. The admission ceremony is organized by the grass-roots committee, the general branch committee or the branch committee of the Youth League, and the Youth League cannot organize it. Leaders of party organizations at the same level can be invited to participate, and activists should generally be attracted to participate in the observation.

2. The admission ceremony should be held within one month after the approval of the new development members by the higher-level organizations, and the school should be held within three months. You can choose to hold it at a special time to make the joining ceremony more memorable.

The entrance ceremony can be held indoors or outdoors. Where conditions permit, it should be held as far as possible in patriotic education bases, revolutionary traditional education bases and other places.
