Recent scientific research projects of Dongguan University of Technology;
First, the "gravitational wave detection" project:
The school cooperated with large-scale scientific devices and platforms such as spallation neutron source science center and Songshan Lake material laboratory, and achieved a series of fruitful results. The research and development of the original gravitational wave telescope receiver, a key project of the 2022 National Key Field Research and Development Plan "Gravitational Wave Detection", which was participated by the team of Associate Professor Wei Yadong, was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The goal is to develop a 40GHz main gravitational wave telescope receiver, further improve the detection sensitivity of main gravitational waves in China, and deeply explore the origin and early evolution of the universe.
Second, the "additive manufacturing and laser manufacturing" project:
In 2022, Professor Sun Jinghua's team participated in the special project "Manufacturing-oriented High-performance and High-power Femtosecond Laser" of the national key R&D plan "Additive Manufacturing and Laser Manufacturing" approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, and our school undertook the project "Research on Broadband Frequency Doubling and Ultraviolet RF Module".
The purpose of this study is to generate femtosecond laser pulses with high efficiency and high beam quality by using mJ-class femtosecond laser pulses, and to fully combine the advantages of universities in scientific exploration through in-depth exchanges and technical cooperation between universities and enterprises in the project.
