How to treat the current phenomenon of high unemployment rate among young people?
The unemployment rate was around 15% in February, 18% in March and April, and 23% in May.

After reading this set of data, the author is also a little moved, because this situation is really bad. Such a high unemployment rate means that more than 40 million people are unemployed. These people may still be looking for jobs, or they may be employed flexibly.

It can be said that the employment pressure of young people is very, very great now. This should start with the expansion of university enrollment more than 10 years ago. At that time, the purpose of university enrollment expansion was to relieve the employment pressure, at least for four or five years, so the employment pressure of this college student was relieved 15 years.

However, how can enrollment expansion really solve the employment pressure? The more enrollment expansion, the greater the employment pressure. At that time, the expansion of enrollment in colleges and universities was only a measure to stimulate economic growth. Enrollment expansion can stimulate the economy of local cities, and it did play a role in economic growth in that year, but now the side effects are much greater, and society no longer needs to rely on enrollment expansion of colleges and universities to stimulate economic growth. However, I didn't expect that the quality of highly educated talents would be greatly reduced after the enrollment expansion of graduate students and doctoral students.

Faced with the increase of unemployment, some experts put forward their own views. They directly suggested that unemployment tax should be levied and people without jobs should pay it.

After reading this proposal, I personally feel that it is really not feasible. The main reason why these experts put forward this suggestion is that they want to force young people to find jobs quickly. If they have no job, they have to pay. In this case, young people may really have to hurry to find a job.

But the final result may not be as good as expected, or it will be more troublesome, because the job found under coercion may not be so good, and it is likely to have greater social effects and be more difficult.

So what should we do in this situation? I'll just give my opinion.

First of all, the number of jobs in cities is limited, and a large number of people who are unemployed after graduation will cause many social contradictions. After all, there are too many graduates and there is not so much corresponding work to be solved. Therefore, if the number of students is not controlled from the source of enrollment, then social problems will always break out.

Secondly, because of the shortage of high-end manufacturing, if we want to solve it, we must rush to high-end manufacturing and win high-end manufacturing in as many industries as possible. The hidden danger is that our country's education is too strong, the quality of the population is growing rapidly with the naked eye, and scientific and technological breakthroughs have not yet arrived. Of course, with more talents, the possibility of breakthrough is greater. Therefore, the surplus of talents has existed for a long time, which led to the spillover phenomenon for so many years before.

In a word, the expert's advice is certainly unrealistic and impractical. At present, the number of unemployed people is indeed increasing, and even some highly educated talents are in surplus. At present, the transformation of industrial structure in China has just begun, and developed countries in Europe and America have blocked and suppressed the development of China in high-end fields. Therefore, China still needs to invest heavily in the high-end technology field, and it needs a process, which cannot be completed in a few months. We must overcome the difficulties in the process and break through the bottleneck of industrialization!
