National University of Defense Technology is both a 985 institution and a 2 1 1 institution. National University of Defense Technology is one of the key construction projects in the First Five-Year Plan 156, one of the 20 key universities in China identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China 1959, and the first batch of universities in the State Council approved to award master's and doctor's degrees. The expanded teaching materials are also the first batch of pilot graduate schools in China. They are the first batch of colleges and universities that have entered the national "2 1 1 Project" construction plan, the military "2 1 10 Project" key construction colleges and the "double-qualified" construction colleges. They are the only institution in the army that has entered the ranks of the national "985 Project" and are also the army.
