Part-time graduate students refer to graduate students who meet the requirements of national postgraduate enrollment, pass the postgraduate entrance examination or other admission methods recognized by the state, are admitted to institutions of higher learning or other institutions of higher education with postgraduate education qualifications, and take various ways and flexible time arrangements to study part-time while engaging in other occupations or social practices within the basic study years or the years specified by the school.
2. Employment mode:
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education, graduate employment methods include non-directional employment and directional employment, and graduate students with directional employment are employed according to directional contracts; Non-directional employment graduate students choose employment in two directions according to themselves and employers.

The doctoral students enrolled by Tongji University in 2022 can be divided into three categories: full-time non-directional employment, full-time directional employment and part-time directional employment.
Full-time doctoral students with non-directional employment must transfer all personnel relations and personnel files to Tongji University when they enter school. They can participate in the evaluation of academic scholarships, grants and excellent scholarships, apply for national student loans, and be included in the basic medical insurance for urban residents in Shanghai during their school years. When you graduate, you can choose your own job, which is included in the school employment plan and implemented in accordance with the Measures for the Implementation of Graduate Employment.
Before entering school, I must sign a tripartite orientation training agreement with our school and the unit where I work. During my study, I will keep my personnel relations and files in my original unit and return to my target area or unit for employment after graduation. Such students do not participate in the evaluation of academic scholarships, grants and excellent scholarships, can not apply for national student loans, are not included in the basic medical insurance for urban residents in Shanghai during their school years, and cannot be transferred to non-directional employment doctoral students during their school years.
In 2022, Tongji University will recruit full-time doctoral students for the whole country, including the plan for high-level backbone talents of ethnic minorities, the training plan for oriented postgraduate students in universities in the western region, the pilot project of connecting the professional degree education of medical doctors with the standardized training of specialists, and the professional degree doctoral project in the Yangtze River Education Innovation Belt. Scholarships, employment and insurance for students participating in the "High-level Talents Program for Ethnic Minorities" shall be implemented in accordance with relevant national policies.
In 2022, Tongji University will recruit part-time doctoral students for targeted employment, including part-time doctoral students in engineering and the "Tongji University Ideological and Political Work Team Plan". For part-time doctoral students, the school does not provide accommodation.
