Application conditions for studying in Thailand in 2023 Introduction of study conditions in Thailand
First, academic requirements
Undergraduate application: you need to have a high school education or equivalent, and the academic system is 4 years.
Master's degree application: bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, and the schooling period is 1-2 years.
Description of special circumstances:
Application for undergraduate course in senior two: If you decide to study in Thailand, you won't have to waste time preparing for the college entrance examination after the exam. It will save more time to concentrate on learning English, preparing for IELTS or applying directly to Thai universities for language preparation.
Postgraduate education: you need to be promoted to undergraduate course before you can study for a master's degree, but some schools can do both at the same time to save time.
In addition to reading academic degree certificates, you will also attach great importance to your usual grades, that is, GPA, to prove that you have enough learning ability to complete your studies. The higher the ranking of universities and majors, the higher the requirements for GPA. For example, Chiang Mai University usually requires a GPA above 3.0.
Second, language requirements.
The language requirements of universities in Thailand are different and cannot be generalized. These requirements mainly require students to understand the teacher's class and have certain academic expression ability. According to the different teaching languages of the majors you apply for, you should have the corresponding language ability (English or Thai).
There are usually two ways to prove it:
English standardized tests: such as IELTS and TOEFL scores.
Language tests set up in universities can be accepted if they meet the requirements.
We divide the requirements into four levels according to the level:
High requirements: Chulalongkorn University, Mahidol University, Chiang Mai University and Hosei University. If you apply for undergraduate courses, the reference standard can be NMET 120 or above, and the total score of NMET is above 570 (note: it is not a rigid standard, but it is only convenient for you to check yourself). For example, the International College of Mahidol University requires IELTS 6.0 or above.
Medium requirements: For example, bangkok university and Chiang Mai University probably require IELTS 5.5 or above.
Low requirements: Many universities only have an IELTS score of 5 or above, and they can enter the school for language preparation and start formal courses after meeting the requirements, or allow conditional admission, enter the school normally first, and graduate only when English meets the requirements during their study. Can be said to be very flexible.
No requirement: Some universities offer bilingual teaching for graduate students in China and provide Chinese translation, which is very comfortable and suitable for high-end people.
Third, economic conditions.
Tuition: The tuition in Thailand is much lower than that in developed countries in Europe and America, which is suitable for ordinary working families. The annual tuition fee is about 20,000-30,000 RMB, which is paid by semester.
Living expenses: Most universities don't provide dormitories for students. Considering the off-campus accommodation consumption, it is about 30,000-40,000 yuan a year, which is still cheaper than domestic big cities.
