Shenyang Agricultural University is located in Shenyang, a national historical and cultural city, with the world cultural heritage Fuling in the east, Hunhe River in the south and Tianzhu Mountain in the north, covering an area of 10246 mu. The campus environment is elegant, the scenery is beautiful, the humanistic atmosphere is strong, and the teaching and research conditions are superior.

The history of the school can be traced back to the provincial Toyota Agricultural School in 1906. Now the school was established in 1952, which was formed by the merger of Fudan University Agricultural College (except tea major) and some majors of Shenyang Agricultural College. On June 1985, it was renamed as Shenyang Agricultural University, and Comrade Deng Xiaoping personally wrote the name of the school.

The school has always put improving the quality of personnel training in the first place in all its work, focused on cultivating morality, ability and responsibility, and trained a large number of indomitable agricultural talents. At present, there are 19703 students, including full-time undergraduate students 13695, full-time master students1492, full-time doctoral students/906, and international students 18 1 person. Since its establishment, the school has sent 1.6 million undergraduates, junior college students and doctoral and master students to the country, becoming the backbone of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

The school has a relatively complete agricultural education and scientific research system. There are 16 colleges, 4 teaching departments (centers), 8 post-doctoral research stations, 10 doctoral degree authorization points,1/3 master degree authorization points and 58 undergraduate majors. There are 3 national key disciplines, 3 key disciplines of the Ministry of Agriculture and/kloc-0 key disciplines of the National Forestry and Grassland Bureau.
