The College of Agriculture and Biology of Shanghai Jiaotong University, formerly known as Shanghai Agricultural College, was the first agricultural college sponsored by local government in Shanghai from 65438 to 0959, which made outstanding contributions to the development of rural economy and agricultural modernization and the cultivation of agricultural talents in Shanghai. From 65438 to 0999, Shanghai Agricultural College was merged into Shanghai Jiaotong University. In 2008, it became one of the eight agriculture-related colleges jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Agriculture.
