Jishou University (JSU in English), referred to as "Jida", runs schools in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture and Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province. The school was founded in April 1958, and was reorganized into a provincial comprehensive university in April 1978. In 2000, Jishou Health School was merged into Jishou University.
