Zhang Yuhan, a 2022 student of Boya Basic Medical College, spoke as a student representative. She recalled the experience of going back and forth to her hometown and Beijing for medical treatment when she was a child. This experience made her determined to become a doctor and a "light in the eyes of patients". However, doctors are not omnipotent. Behind treating diseases and saving lives is the feelings of doctors, and it is the continuous research and development and extensive cooperation of countless scientific research teams and cutting-edge technologies. After careful consideration, she finally chose basic medicine, because basic medical research "may save more people to some extent."
