Northern Jiaotong University, China University,1949 In July, the people's government officially took over Tangshan Jiaotong University (now Southwest Jiaotong University), held a takeover ceremony, and announced the establishment of China Jiaotong University on the same day. China Jiaotong University consists of National Tangshan Institute of Technology (now Southwest Jiaotong University), National Beiping Railway Management Institute (now Beijing Jiaotong University) and North China Jiaotong University, which moved from the liberated areas. In 2004, Southwest Jiaotong University built a new campus-Xipu Campus of Southwest Jiaotong University in xipu town, Chengdu High-tech West Zone, and the pattern of "one school, two places and three campuses" was formally formed.
