Beijing Information Science and Technology University was formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Mechanical Industry, which was affiliated to the former Ministry of Machinery, and Beijing Institute of Information Engineering, which was affiliated to the former Ministry of Electronics. It is a university supported by Beijing with the coordinated development of engineering, management, science, economics, literature and law.
It was selected into the Education and Training Plan for Outstanding Engineers of the Ministry of Education, the National11Plan, the first batch of demonstration universities in Beijing to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, and the first batch of digital campus demonstration schools in Beijing-affiliated universities. It is the first member of the China-Poland University Alliance.
School introduction:
Beijing Information Science and Technology University, referred to as Information Science and Technology University, is composed of two universities. Among them, Beijing Institute of Machinery was formerly known as 1937, and 1958 was upgraded to Beijing Institute of Machinery.
1972 moved to Shaanxi and participated in the establishment of Shaanxi Institute of Machinery. 1986, Shaanxi Institute of Machinery, Beijing graduate department and Beijing Institute of Machinery Industry Management merged to form Beijing Institute of Machinery Industry Management. 1990 was renamed Beijing Institute of Machinery Industry, which is a public institution directly under the Ministry of Machinery Industry, and 1998 was renamed Beijing.
The other part, Beijing Institute of Information Technology, formerly known as Peking University No.2 Branch, was established in 1978 and directly under the Fourth Machinery Department. 1985 was changed to Beijing Institute of Information Technology, directly under the Ministry of Electronic Industry.
Beijing Information Science and Technology University has six campuses: Xiaoying, Jianxiangqiao, Qinghe, Jintai Road, Jiuxianqiao and Changping. The urban areas are in Chaoyang District and Haidian District respectively. Although there are five campuses, they are all small, but each campus has playground, canteen and other facilities. It can be said that sparrows are small and complete. The newly-built Changping Campus has a large area and will become the main campus for undergraduate training. At present, Changping Campus has been relocated.
What about Beijing Vocational College of Information Technology?
Beijing Institute of Information Technology was founded in 1954. 1954, in order to implement China's first five-year plan and accelerate the development of electronic industry in new China, the Second Ministry of Machinery Industry established the' North China Fourth Industrial School' in Beijing Jiuxianqiao Electronic Industrial Zone.
1956 was named' Beijing Radio Industry School'. Since its establishment, the school has trained a large number of electronic technicians for the construction of the motherland, made positive contributions to the development of the electronic industry in New China, and is known as the cradle for training electronic industry technicians.
