Water conservancy and hydropower engineering is an important infrastructure and basic industry in China. This major mainly studies water conservancy projects (dams, sluices, hydropower stations, etc. Students mainly study the basic theories and knowledge of mathematics, mechanics and engineering structure, and economic calculation of water conservancy and hydropower projects. Water conservancy project refers to the project used to control and allocate surface water and groundwater in nature to achieve the purpose of eliminating pests and promoting benefits.
