On the premise of normalization of epidemic prevention and control, I think I have no complaints about the closure of the school. Because the student population in colleges and universities is really large and covers a wide area, if the schools are not closed, the difficulty of epidemic prevention and control will increase, the ways of epidemic spread will increase, and the risk of COVID-19 infection will rise sharply, which is very irresponsible to yourself and others.
However, what is emerging now is the so-called closure of major universities, which only seals students and does not seal all faculty. I can understand without a teacher, because after all, university teachers are often busy with other things, have more contact with the outside world, and need to go in and out of campus frequently. But I am deeply puzzled that even some employees in various departments of the school can freely enter and leave the campus. A reasonable and scientific system has not been formed for these workers. They can go in if they want, and go out if they want. It seems that the requirements for epidemic prevention and control are blank. This makes us students feel wronged by this phenomenon. In my opinion, since the school is closed to strengthen epidemic prevention and control, we should try our best to reduce the contact between the school and the outside world, instead of taking compulsory isolation measures for only some groups, while others have no management behavior.
In the view of major universities, as long as the relatively large group of students is sealed off, the risk of the whole epidemic will be much reduced, which is true. I think so, too, but what we students are most dissatisfied with is the great difference in treatment between students and faculty. I think corresponding regulations should be made, and faculty and staff should be in the same campus as students, so as to reduce the risk of epidemic. Teachers or employees who really need to go out should also implement the leave system. Only in this way can the suspension of classes be more meaningful and can be implemented to everyone on campus.
