Four 2 1 1 universities. According to the inquiry of Yunnan Education Bureau, by 2023, there will be four universities in Yunnan Province, namely Kunming University of Science and Technology, Yunnan University, Southwest Forestry University and Yunnan Normal University. Kunming University of Science and Technology is one of the earliest universities in Yunnan Province to receive the support of Project 2 1 1. It is a national key university with coordinated development of science, management, literature, law, economics and teaching. The school has made outstanding progress in the field of engineering, especially in materials science, electromechanical engineering, chemistry and bioengineering.
