Anqing Normal University became a university on 20 17. With the approval of Anhui Education Department, Anqing Teachers College, Weinan Medical College and Hefei College have added the first batch of undergraduate enrollment majors since this year, which means that Anqing Teachers College will become a traditional university in 20 17.

In May of 20 18, the Anhui Provincial Department of Education officially approved that all majors (except Chinese-foreign cooperation majors) of Anqing Normal University entered the batch enrollment in 20 18, that is, they entered the phalanx of colleges and universities in an all-round way.
