Introduction to Thomson River University
Thomson River University, founded in 1970, is a new public university located in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. The campus covers an area of 250 mu, about 365 kilometers away from Vancouver, and it takes 3 hours by car. Its predecessor was caribou College, which was founded in 1970s, and 1989 was upgraded to caribou University College. Because the undergraduate education of this school has been highly recognized by students and educators, as well as by the BC provincial government of Canada and the Association of University Colleges of Canada, this school was renamed its current name in 2005. There are more than 100 academic and professional courses here, and currently there are more than 10000 students, including more than 800 international students from 53 countries and regions.
