Among many instructional design models, 4C/ID is very special.
What's special about it? First, there is a solid theoretical foundation and research support, and second, there are practical steps, which are easy for front-line teachers to apply.
This 4C/ID model was developed by Jay Van Merienbauer in 1980s.
Jeroen van de Weijer J.G. Van Merry? Nboer is a professor of learning and teaching at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and the research director of the Graduate School of Health Education (SHE).
