Brief introduction of South China University of Technology:
South China University of Technology, formerly known as South China University of Technology, was established on the basis of engineering departments and majors of Sun Yat-sen University Institute of Technology, South China United University Institute of Technology, Lingnan University Institute of Technology and Guangdong Institute of Technology, and was transferred to some engineering departments and majors of five universities, including Hunan University and Guangxi University. It is one of the four major engineering institutes in New China. 1960 became a national key university; 1988 was renamed South China University of Technology.
School emblem change
The first edition of the school emblem was launched on 1992, and the English abbreviations "S, C, U, T" were outlined in three colors: blue, white and gold.
The second edition of the school emblem was put into use in 2006, with a circular outline, blue and white, and the memorial arch kapok embedded in it. Among them, "1934" in the school emblem is the starting time node of Wushan campus.
The third edition of the school emblem was put into use in 2022. On June 6th, 2022,1/South China University of Technology officially released the third edition of its school emblem while celebrating its 70th anniversary and 105. The third edition of the school emblem takes the earliest school origin as the starting point, and adjusts the "1934" in the existing school emblem to "19 18", retaining the kapok symbolizing the vigorous development of the school and the archway with rich school history.
