Hohai University is located at the northern foot of Liangqing, Gulou District, Nanjing.

1986 hohai university set up a branch in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, and later changed to a campus.

Changzhou Campus is an important part of Hohai University, and it is an important support for the university to build a high-level characteristic research university. The campus is located in Suzhou-Xichang Expressway Economic Development Zone, Changzhou National High-tech Industrial Development Zone, adjacent to Changzhou administrative center, covering an area of 436 mu.

The teaching area of Jiangning Campus of Hohai University is located in Jiangning Development Zone, Nanjing, covering an area of 863 mu, the student living area covers an area of 134 mu, and the faculty residence covers an area of 80 mu, with a total area of 1077 mu. Jiangning Campus is adjacent to Jiangjun Mountain and Qinhuai New River, which is the frontier of Nanjing's development in the new period, and adjacent to Southeast University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
