Anhui Agricultural University is located in Hefei, Anhui Province. It is a provincial-level key university jointly established by the people of China, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the State Forestry and Grassland Bureau and the People's Government of Anhui Province, and the first batch of "featured high-level universities" in the revitalization plan of higher education in Anhui Province.
It has been selected into the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions, the national new engineering research and practice project, the national new agricultural research and reform practice project, the China government scholarship receiving institution for overseas students in China, the national university practical education innovation and entrepreneurship base, the national international scientific and technological cooperation base, and the Anhui province peak discipline construction plan. With the qualification of recommending graduate students without examination, it has passed the "Quality Certification of Colleges and Universities Studying in China" by the Ministry of Education, and is the lead unit of the Sino-US Agricultural Extension Alliance of Colleges and Universities.
