According to the hand-held college entrance examination, Shanxi Health Vocational College is a junior college. Shanxi Health Vocational College was established in August, 1953. It is a medical higher vocational college approved by Shanxi Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. It belongs to Shanxi Provincial Health and Wellness Committee. Shanxi Traditional Chinese Medicine School was established in August, 1950. From 1978, five-year undergraduate students of traditional Chinese medicine were enrolled in the name of "Shanxi Medical College", which was affiliated to Shanxi Medical College. It is a model school for the reform and development of secondary vocational education in Shanxi Province.
