Funding period
The years of funding are calculated according to the basic study years of higher vocational colleges (majors) stipulated by the state, and those who study at a higher level are not included in the scope of tuition reduction.
Financing process
Eligible retired soldiers and students, after reporting to institutions of higher learning, apply to institutions of higher learning for tuition fee reduction and exemption, fill in the Application Form II for National Education Funding for College Students, and submit it to institutions of higher learning together with a copy of the retirement certificate after being audited by the conscription office of the people's government at the county level where the retired resettlement is located and defined by the department of veterans affairs.
After receiving the application materials, the college student financial assistance management department shall timely review the students' application qualifications. Those who pass the examination shall go through the formalities of tuition fee reduction and exemption in time.
Tips: According to the national and provincial policies, retired soldiers who do not start their own businesses do not enjoy the above tuition fee reduction policy. Retired soldiers can apply for the exam according to the actual needs in combination with the tuition fee reduction policy.
Retired college students
Refers to those who voluntarily interrupt their studies and enter the army for military service during their college years. It can also be said that it refers to retired soldiers who have obtained college degree or above in general full-time higher education before enlisting and retired soldiers who were students in general full-time higher education before enlisting and obtained college degree or above during their service or after retiring.
