Beijing language and culture university Foreign Studies University set up a new translation major in 2008. On February 20th, 2009, the Translation Department was formally established, and on May 20th, 2009, the Translation College was established. The School of Translation now enrolls students in both English and French, among which French is the first undergraduate translation class for non-English majors in China.
