1. Shanxi Mass Media School was established in 2006. It is a full-time secondary specialized school approved by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Education, put on record by the Ministry of Education and directly under the Shanxi Provincial Department of Education.

2. Shanxi Art Vocational College is the first higher art vocational college in China approved by Shanxi Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education on September 2 1 2000. The main campus of the college is located at No.95 Bingzhou East Street, Taiyuan City, and the Binhe Campus is located in Binhe Garden, Wangjing Road, Taiyuan City. West Garden Campus is located in Yingze West Street.

3. Shanxi Drama Vocational College, located in Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, is a comprehensive higher art vocational college, which is affiliated to the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and is a public institution under the guidance of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Education. Shanxi Theatre Vocational College, formerly known as Shanxi Theatre School, was founded in 1958. In 2002, with the approval of Shanxi Provincial People's Government, it was upgraded to a full-time higher art vocational college. It was formed by the merger of the former Shanxi Opera School and Shanxi Theatre Research Institute.
