1, Ningxia Medical University
The predecessor of Ningxia Medical University is Ningxia Medical College, which was founded in 1958. 1962 was renamed Ningxia university medical department. From 65438 to 0972, Shanghai Railway Medical College moved to Yinchuan, merged with the Medical Department of Ningxia University, and rebuilt Ningxia Medical College. In 2002, Ningxia Health School and Ningxia Nursing School merged into Ningxia Medical College. In August 2008, the school was renamed Ningxia Medical University.
2. Ningxia Normal University
Ningxia Normal University is located in Guyuan City, a historic city under Liupanshan Mountain in southern Ningxia, and is under the administration of the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is the only normal undergraduate college in Ningxia. It was built by the Education Department of the Autonomous Region and Guyuan Municipal Government. It is one of the pilot work units for postgraduate students in the "Training Plan for Talents with Special Needs in Serving the Country".
3. Ningxia Institute of Technology
Ningxia Institute of Science and Technology is a private undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education. Located in Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, it is included in the plan of the Ministry of Education to support universities in the western region. It is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Shizuishan City and supported by Northeastern University and Zhejiang University of Technology.
4. Yinchuan Institute of Energy
Yinchuan Institute of Energy, located in Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, is a private undergraduate college focusing on engineering, which was jointly founded by the Education Department of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Yinchuan Municipal Government. It is also a governing unit of the National Universities of Applied Sciences League, a pilot institution for the overall transformation of local undergraduate colleges in Ningxia, and a cooperative university between Fujian and Ningxia.
