Tarim University is located in Aral City on the Tarim River in southern Xinjiang. Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is a key university. Its predecessor was 1958. In order to adapt to the country's reclamation, Tarim reclamation area was developed, and Tarim River Agricultural University was established for the needs of various talents. 1960 was renamed Tarim Muchuan Agricultural University in April, and Tarim University in 2004.
